An alumnus from the Harvard School of Business, a postgraduate in Management from the University of Cardiff and an Engineering graduate, Rahul V. Karad is an exemplary young educationist in the forefront of the 68 institutes strong MAEER's MIT Group of Institutions, Pune. He is advancing the inherited vision and mission of his visionary academician father Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Karad (a visionary educationist of India and Founder and Executive President of MAEER's MIT Group of Institutions, Pune), with a fearless passion.
Rahul’s conviction and determination in channelizing the power of the country’s youth has driven him to create new avenues for Indians. He is one of the driving forces behind making ‘India Super Power by 2040’ an absolute reality.
Contributing to Nation Building, Rahul V Karad, shaped a new path by creating MAEER’s MIT School of Government, the first institution of its kind not only in India but also in Asia to start a professional program for a career in Politics & Government.
His true nationalistic consciousness keeps finding expressions through numerous activities that he initiates and infuses a renewed sense of pride and patriotism amongst the young budding minds of India.
The National Women’s Parliament is one of Rahul’s concepts, in his endeavor to create and reshape the future of India. Under his leadership a three-day mega event was organised at Amravati in February 2017, where the chief minister Chandrababu Naidu hosted the event. He commended on Rahul Karad’s idea of creating the National Women’s Parliament and since then they worked together to make it happen. This platform, said the minister, will give new direction to the globe. “Every woman should dare to dream and strive to achieve.” Today the Chandrababu government has got a host of projects for women under the flagship programme.
Rahul Karad’s inspiration for beginning the National Women’s Parliament stems from these words that he penned:
Women do not have a unified platform to grow and engage with
Young girls need to be empowered to move into positions of leadership
We need more women to have platforms for interaction and sustainable development
Women need to have an equal representation in national and political orders
Untapped resources of women
